Spartan Rottweilers is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to help care for our dogs

and assist with daily kennel operations.

This is a hands-on physical role for someone who enjoys animals, values routine, and takes pride in doing work the right way.

We are not looking for someone who just “likes dogs.” We are looking for someone reliable, observant, and willing to be part of a professional breeding and care program.

Position: Kennel Assistant / Dog Care Technician

Location - Viola, Arkansas

Pay - $15/hour to start

Schedule

  • Start time: 7:00 AM
  • Part-time to begin
  • Approximately 20–25 hours weekly
  • Opportunity for more hours over time


What You’ll Be Doing

Daily Dog Care

  • Feed and water dogs
  • Monitor appetite and hydration
  • Observe general health and behavior

Exercise & Yard Rotations

  • Walk dogs to assigned play yards
  • Rotate dogs safely
  • Monitor behavior with neighboring dogs
  • Watch for tension, heat cycles, or unusual behavior

Cleaning & Kennel Care

  • Sweep and mop kennel areas
  • Wash bowls and buckets
  • Pick up waste
  • Maintain clean, sanitary conditions
  • Scheduled deep cleaning

Training & Enrichment

  • Walking sessions
  • Basic manners / obedience reinforcement
  • Confidence-building and structured interaction

Observation & Notes

Report things like:

  • Not eating
  • Vomiting
  • Loose stool
  • Limping
  • Females in heat
  • Behavioral changes
  • Supplies running low


Who We’re Looking For

Ideal Candidate Is:

  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable with large dogs
  • Calm and confident
  • Physically able to clean, walk, lift, and stay active
  • Able to work in hot, cold, or outdoor conditions
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Learns quickly and follows directions

Bonus Experience:

  • Farm background
  • Kennel or veterinary experience
  • Dog training experience
  • Grooming / bathing experience
  • General maintenance skills

Not the Right Fit If:

  • You struggle being on time
  • You call in often
  • You dislike cleaning
  • You are uncomfortable with large dogs
  • You need constant supervision
  • You prefer sitting still all day
